For My Followers

First of all, Thank You for following my blog.  I thought I'd better explain the way I do my blog so you all don't think I am not adding anything new.  I don't usually post "new" posts.  What I do is edit the posts I already have up.  I am adding new things every day.  So although it appears to you that I am not doing anything new and exciting......  I am.  I hope you find my blog helpful and inspirational.

My Favorite Card - At least at the moment

I'm not trying to toot my own horn.. but beep beep.  lol.  I really like how this card turned out.  There are slits in the sand where I put the seashell (left hand bottom corner) half in the sand then "popped" the top of it out so it looks like it's sticking out of the sand.  Did the same thing with the far right sand dollar.  The starfish in the lower right corner is "popped" in the center with the legs glued down, it actually looks like it's crawling out of the frame.  I am still practicing using the prisma pencils and with shading.. but I think everything turned our real nice on this.  I colored everthing except for the sky & sand. I did ink the sand and the waves for shadow & wet sand effects.   The sentiment is a stamp, which I love.  I used stickles on the waves and on the sand, looks like the water has just washed up.. and stickles for the "light bulb" in the lighthouse.  In person these things really stand out.  And I free handed the seagulls.  Anyways, I hope you enjoy it!  Thanks for looking.

GUEST BOOK

NEW CARDS

The most recent cards I've made will be displayed here.  As newer cards are added, the older ones will be rotated into their proper catagory.  Thanks for looking.

Lighthouse

This card, I don't know.  I don't think I"m finished with it yet.

Geisha girls.  Nope, don't know what the writing says.. if anyone knows please let me know. lol

Isn't every day a chocolate chip cookie day?

Of course I love my frogs!!  The dragon fly has a couple layers.. both inside card and out.  The wings lift up for dimension.  Still getting the prisma pencils down.. but I think it is still cute.

This makes a great guy any occasion card..

I like this card also.  The throw rug is actually material that I sewed.. yes sewed onto the card, well the first matting anyways, I sewed in little ovals to make it look like one of those old rope rugs.

This card looks so much better in person.  It turned out quite lovely.  The "dots" around the border and the butterfly really sparkle.  I really like this card.

These last two cards I made out of scraps.. trying to use them up before they take over my house, they've already taken my craft room.  ha ha.
